Interesting Week
It’s been an eventful week, at best. Fortunately, none of the problems are directly mine.I was going to visit friends in LA this weekend but between the busy week and the unheard of weather (including both a tornado and snow in close proximity to LA [what are we in Michigan or something?]), I decided to stay here, and put it off until next weekend. The tar pits and American Apparel factory store will just have to wait.
I read this interesting article yesterday, and here are very small photos from our drive to Mount Diablo:

Just writing to say hi. Found you when I searched for myself on google. Who woulda thunk there’s be two elizillas, and both from Ann Arbor? (I haven’t gone so far away, though - I’m in Ypsi now.)
I see you link to some blogs I already follow and comment on - I’ll try not to step on you out there. Looks like my days of always having a unique name everywhere are over.
Here is how I came to use this name: My cat’s name was Elizabeth and she was always knocking things over like Godzilla, so her nickname became Eli-Zilla. About ten years ago, it started getting difficult to be “kbecker” anymore, that name was nearly always taken, so I started using the cat’s nickname. It turned out to be an empty piece of name real estate, so I kept using it. I’m elizilla on dozens of forums. I had elizilla at AIM but I lost the password and could never get it fixed, so it’s wasted now. I still have it on yahoo and ebay. Elizilla the cat died in October of 2006. She is much missed but her name lives on.
Anyway, I’m not upset, just amused. And if you want the name elizilla somewhere, and it’s already taken but doesn’t appear to be getting used, drop me a line. If I registered someplace that I’ve since forgotten, and haven’t ever done anything else with it, I’m happy to relinquish the namespace; we’ll figure out how to do it.
